DAMAGE TO DRYER FANS & MOTOR SHAFTS
The
problem of broken dryer fans and destroyed dryer motor shafts can be
corrected by removing the plain belt and replacing it with a cog belt. You
see when the motor starts there is no drag to slow down the sudden start of
the dryer motor since the pulley is so small. When the pulley is small the
belt can constantly slip. I suggest that on all dryers with belt drives that
the belt on the smallest pulley be replaced with a cog belt. E-Z Way now
stocks them.
